Thanks Olivier, definitely a place to visit. Mt Ararat is for many people a holy Mountain. When you go there you can feel something magical about the place. I am reading a book called ARARAT written from Frank Westerman in which he explains very well the region. I saw your video in the Sahara. Very impressive. Bravo.

Hi Roma
Please post more pics. I'm heading that way in a couple weeks. I'm also going to the Kurdish part of Iraq, which they also call Kurdistan. As you point out, they have their own flag, & also have a separate border to the rest of Iraq.

I figure since they live there, they can call it anything they want to.

Oh, I went to Mongolia last year, theres a story about it in my 'Chopper' trip thread from last year, or for specific info, just send me a PM...

the border guards there are idiots, so be ready for them :lol3

I got back from Uckraine and I had to wait 3 hours at the border. It is all part of the adventure I guess.
BTW. If you go to Mt Ararat, make sure you do the road that goes from the city of Siirt to Pervari - catak. That is an alternative way to go to Van. One of the most remarkable road I ever did. You can see it on my video. Cheers

ahhh Ukraine... beautiful country, wonderful people, except for the police :lol3

And if someone has a problem with what Roma calls the places he went, why dont you get up off your asses, go there yourself, and do your OWN friggin ride report!

many of these posts will be heading down the toilet to the basement very soon I am guessing. Which is good, no one wants to read political crap in RR's, especially me.

Im from Redneckistan. Wanna see it on the map?

+1 :deal

My wife is Armenian and I have some pretty strong and ingrained opinions about this subject, but this RR is no place for that. Take it to Jo Momma or STFU!

I want to see more of these awesome pictures!

Thanks for the Ride Report, Roma!:clap

If you want to discuss politics, please do so in CSM.

The political posts have been moved to Head Explody.

Thanks,

This doesn't mean that I'm not reading it.(for example I enjoy your reports & have one adv sticker at my transporter.)
We'll be riding on the same territory at the 1st of August & this is my promise to you;I'll report it (2400 km dualsport, mostly passing the mountains offroad)

If you want to show it on Google Earth, why not ?

Ride Safe...
Peace...(This is my last word about this subject.)

Your ride seems nice but the topic name:scratch
Mount Ararat is in the borders of TURKEY (TÜRKİYE) It's name is Ağrı Dağı. And in the city Iğdır.
There's no place named kurdistan.
