http://advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=21009290&postcount=1660 They should be rippen it pretty good through the "S's". Only two bleachers in sight.
Got my GA tickets and parking passes today too! And yes the 30 bucks for bike parking is for all 3 days for those concerned in the above posts.
Sorry if this has been covered. I look on the cota site as well. Parking passes ($60 for car) is good for all three days?
Anybody here working COTA? I was invited to flag, but I'll be driving a chase truck the following week in the Mexican 1000. Couldn't take the extra time. Seems like it would be a good layout to spectate if they have viewing berms and such. I'll go 2014 probably. I like KS, but I don't believe everything he says. He's seems a bit of a hustler himself.
Yes, I'm working Tech, doing tyre control. Wednesday we will sticker each tyre with a unique bar-code. Thursday tyres will be allocated. Then Fri,Sat,Sun every time a tyre goes on or off it gets scanned with a hand-held device. Moto2 & 3 get random tyre scans, Moto3 gets engines scanned as well.
Well got my tickets, just paid $43 to ride my bike, and ordered my free Kevin shirt. Won't be going again to COTA unless something big changes. The local paper is already arm waving about low attendance. http://www.statesman.com/news/sport...ndance-not-likely-to-match-projections/nXBCr/
$43 after ticketrapist and tax. For any event other than a motorcycle race I'd understand bending over those idiot motorcyclists for parking their loud bikes all day. At a motorcycle race it seems a bit outrageous. I'll be lucky to not get kicked out probably. If I do i'll be at Gypsy Lounge for their Free Kevin watching party.
I will be Section T15-2 Row 27 Seat 9 & 10 and staying at the homewood suites close to the airport. Get my tickets today via fedex.
I still have an Embassy Suite available for the weekend at Pre Gouge price if anyone is needing a nice hotel that'll sleep several.
I have 2 VIP tickets [all 3 days] and a parking pass for sale [see ad in flea market ] http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=875994 I am not able to go and I would like to sell them to a fellow inmate. I am bummed, it looks like a great event and facility.
I'll be there. I have a GA ticket and spent the $30 for moto parking as well. I contacted this guy and plan to camp there at the moment. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=865178
I would think the searches wouldn't start until walking into the gates with bags where the tickets will be scanned. The parking area at past events is not like this.
The search at ther F1 race was lame. We just unzipped our back packs and they looked in. We did not see anything more than that being done. During the race we saw all sorts of cameras, tripods, and even video cameras. If attendance is as low as the media is reporting, the search will be no problem.
