Nice bike Hondo. May I ask -

What led you to that choice - maintanence schedule? longevity? great reviews? past experience- just curious - and don't poke your eye out....

I was also looking at KLXs while shopping for the DRZ. My humble DRZ400E is not as clean as your new toy, though.... still pretty well sorted out.

    LET'S RACE! :lol3

Why does a bear in a tree get the front page of the newspaper yet it doesn't publish a single article on something like the Redbull Stratos project?

    I predict: Idiocracy.

I think it's what I need or at least a 250 once the doc clears me for riding at the end of this month. Of course he said that a month ago but I am feeling stronger and need to drop a much lighter bike. Well then there is the house that is about 60% done and needs to be paid for, but we shall see what the annual bonus brings this year. :1drink

I'm rolling along on Highway 50 in Nevada and what do I see? Lo and behold, it's a stranded KTM 990 rider from Belgium.

Of COURSE I stopped. His Cagiva riding co-conspirator had already taken the KTM's rear wheel to Ely for repairs. He politely refused assistance ("just a flesh wound"), so I left him with water and good tidings. Poor chap spent 4-6 hours sitting by the roadside in the Nevada desert today. :eek1

I've been across US50 quite a few times, and it does give you pause when you think of having an issue out there, especially in August :eek1
Unlike the interstate, cell coverage is very spotty - I've been lucky in Austin and Eureka, and Ely is no problem. Once you leave Fallon though...

There is a light dusting of snow on the Indian Peaks this morning. Winter's coming.....and I got nowhere near enough riding in this summer. We're going to do easy stuff around Caribou, or maybe the Switzerland Trail on Sunday.

41˚ cool degrees here today and we had 6:30 am football practice this morning. As the kids are stretching, I look down and see a kids shoes are on the wrong feet. I say, hey your shoe is on the wrong foot", he looks down and says back "hey they both are!":lol3
