Here is a bit of my past. We were young and having a ton of fun. Riding, drinking and gals was the best way to kill some time with our pals, Grease, rock & roll, the smell of Pomade in the air, we were greasers. Good times for all.

It was pre helmet law. I was the only one that would wear a hemet most of the time. I don't think it was until about 93-94 when California got the helmet law.

Nice pics. You guys looked to be around the same age as I was in that era, similar mix of bikes and a distinct lack of Jap stuff as well.

I hope you're going to dig a few more out for us :ear

That's a tasty T3 in the first picture.

We are all in our early 20's and we were a European only club. Here is a link to all of the pictures I have.

Great pictures Chris. I am digging the "bash bar" on the headlight in this shot. Never saw one before.

I graduated high school in 1982. I was lobbying hard to get a BMW /2 basket case for my first ride in about 1980, but lost the fight. My mom is an ex-Marine . . . :eek1 No kidding. I was born near El Toro MCAS.

If you think about it, your /5 was relatively recent & the /2 not really all that old at the time...
The thing I notice about 80's era photos is everyone seems to be enjoying themselves vs lookin' hard all the time.

& now, the rest of the story?

    Especially-where are the bikes?

Too cool Chris! Enzo, Dad and I really enjoyed seeing these photos! I want to know what music you guys listened to the most back then. Some Priest and a little Ritchie Blackmore perhaps? :)

I'm helping dad put together his first post with some similar vintage photos.

I will have to see if I can find the Cycle World article with the write up on all of us. As for the bikes, I'm not sure where they all ended up. After the club split up a lot of the guys started riding HD Pan Heads. We had a lot of phone in those days.

We listed to Rock a Billy, Physco o Billy, and rock n Roll.

Chris, I think B.C. still has his Panhead, just rebuilt a few years ago.
I think he misses the triumph though.
How many /5s ago was that one?

Most of the boys still have their Pans. That /5 was number one of 20+ I think. I miss them all(/5's):D
