    It's one of those safety releases a person would pull to open the seat in case he was locked inside, cars have them too.

    Well, I'm running an Xmoto, so no enduros for me... But I might need it when I go two-up with the Mrs :rofl

    What I meant was that if its bolted, what's the purpose of the "quick release" feature...

    I originally was hoping it was some sort of "smarter than me" helmet lock :D
