If this thing shows up with anything other than a RC30 homage paint job, a lot of people are going to be disappointed.
According to A&R, the other one isn't "It" Asphalt & Rubber ‏@Asphalt_Rubber Are You The Honda V4 Street Bike? Probably Not - http://aspha.lt/1ps #motorcycle
This is not what I'm hearing from another person that went. Lines for everything. Long lines to buy damned expensive food. Long lines to use a bathroom. These lines cut across normal foot traffic area.
Welp. That looks like it's confirmed. http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/186288/1/preziosi_replaced_in_ducati_shake-up.html
For those of you who went to the F1 race or have heard through the grapevine, where should I try and get tickets for the GP race? What section/sections are going to be best?
The RC30 was around $30,000. The RC 45 was around $45,000. Now Honda wants a buy in of $100,000 ? How much for the "Race Kit " ? Spending their way to the podium again ?
RC30 was $14,995 RC45 was $27,000 the NR750 which is more comparable to the new bike was $60,000 in 1992 Or the Ducati Desmoducci RR which was Ducati's road legal GP bike for $72,000
The thing I find curious is they are bringing in a guy the was head of a project that produced a, still, notoriously difficult to ride bike. I hope they have a better plan for the Ducati.
Is this Marco Melandri's WSB boss taking over at Ducati Corse and booting Preziosi off into road bikes? ("We do not think it was a problem with the riders, Filippo, and if you are disappointed we can recommend a psychologist." ) Motomatters has a story here. As an owner of a Ducati road bike and possible future purchaser, I am not delighted they have parked Preziosi at the top of R & D. (Nothing against the guy, and know little about him. Just not an obvious good fit from this distance.)
I like high up in Turn 15. You see most of the back straight and the tight infield section. There are two prime passing zones right there. It looks like turn 12 is GA though so you can see the same stuff from a side angle only in bleachers and not actual seats. If you don't mind walking then GA might be the way to go. They have GA spots in between all the prime sections and then you have bleachers all along the esses and the back straight. I got Turn 15 Row 32 for my tickets.
