    CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A Montgomery County man has set out to make his own place in the record books.

Yesterday, Will Rodgers started his journey down the Natchez Trace Parkway, on a child size motorcycle.

He plans to ride it some 500 miles to Natchez, MS.

Because the parkway is only 444 miles long, Rodgers had to start his journey in Clarksville.

The 50-year-old, is 6'3", and he says the journey will be torture on his body, but he wants to fulfill a life long dream of breaking a Guinness World Record.

Excuse me if this has already been posted.

What record is he trying to achieve? If I am reading it correctly, the article does not indicate what record he is trying to set. :ear

I am pretty sure that riders on 50cc motorcycles have completed IronButt saddlesores (1000 miles in 24 hours), so 500 miles on a 50cc does not sound like record territory to me.:huh
