You know you have a sport bike.

I have TWO sport bikes......don't hate on the KLR....

...so today I'm heading over to Blue Diamond Motorsport Park with my neighbor and his 10 year old so he can ride the bike he got for his birthday a while back.

We can park your truck next to mine...I bet it won't look big.

Sadly Tom and Gary have joined a new group of Sportbikers and Stuntas and left us ADVer's behind.

I got the dent out of the original... but it leaked. They wanted 450$ just for the GD outer tube so I lurked ebay til I found a full set from an 07 for 400$ that I just cannibalized the right outer... The innards are all good on mine and were upgraded Race Tech parts .

SO ... I have a left oem fork that is whole and in good shape for sale... as well as a Right with a dinged outer tube that leaked less than 5 ounces of oil in 10K miles.

You missed my sharper image hammer just out of the pic.

Gary and I took the experienced rider sportbike class at Dover today. Here is Gary showing the kids on their sportbikes how to ride:


We learned that it is not about the bike - it is about the rider. Now that the sportbiker and stuntas have seen the KLR in action, there may be a surge in sales.

I hope that some of the other riders in the group will join ADV and come ride with us. Our instructor also had an ADV sticker on his GS.

Gary made it home before the thunderstorms hit. I was in Middletown when the rains came - I learned that even if you have GORE-TEX gear, if you don't put it on, you get wet! (well I kind of knew that already).

I had a good time today....and learned a lot. Like I "lean backwards" and while Tom was out on the course the coach keep telling everyone to watch him, this is how you do this.

At least I made it home before the hail began to fall.
