That's a beautiful bicycle. Looks like you have a Brooks saddle on it. I tried one on my bike for a year and that was like medieval torture. But everyone swears by them. The Brooks looked a lot better than the "Rx" gel seat I have on it now. I feel like a little old lady riding around with it, but it's comfy. :D

Is that one of those Rivendell bikes?

Question about VA state inspections for autos.

I'm hearing conflicting information on body rust/rot--obviously a point of consideration for me these days. The code does not list body condition as an inspectable item. Can a truck be failed for being full of rust? --Except for the floor pans, which ARE specifically inspected.

    Thanks!

Don't know about VA, but in MD if the hole is large enough to put a finger in, no matter where it is, it will fail inspection. :deal

It doesn't really matter a whole lot what the regs say, it's the guy that is inspecting it that counts. Start arguing with the inspector, he'll nit pick you to death and you'll be lucky to ever get it through.

You'd be better off asking at the place you'll get it inspected then asking asking on this thread.

I spent about 30 minutes at the Aerostich show speaking to someone about possible updates to the Darien. Hopefully in the next year or so we might see some updates to make the Darien a better jacket. You can thank me if it happens :D

Beard and I spoke with Andy Goldfine himself for about an hour or so. Very interesting guy. I even wound up on their facebook page for the store:
