Let's see: 432 miles divided by 14.5 hrs = 29.8 miles per hour. How are we ever going to win the Baja 1000 with that kind of average. :D We might have to cut out the lunch stops, gate stops and breakdowns. :wave

Hey everyone - not sure if all of you knew - I'm in Europe right now! I have been to Italy, I'm on a cruise ship on my way to Greece. I have been taking lots of pics of European bikes and will post them all when I get home!!
We get back to Boise on the 16th.

It's all open now... so unless he was complaining about a fine that he got last month... I can't imagine was he was mumbling about?

Sounds like you guys had an awesome time. Glad you enjoyed the west fork of Bennett creek. From the pics it looks that the road was in prime shape and no problem finding your way out.

best of luck on all the bike repairs. Hope to ride with you soon.

Ya, but we got gas a few times, stopped for lunch.. stopped for repairs, blah blah, blah. :tough

I'd like to set my GPS next time, to record only the moving speed average, and see what we average.

That's funny... but I bet you're pretty close, really. We were doing 30ish through Tollgate to Hammett, the fast gravel was 65+, the easy double was 50+, and the rough double was 30+.

Next time I'll remember to set my GPS. :nod

Hey guys... this is the first time I'v checked this post since the Poker ride. Ryan you guys look like you had a great ride. I wish I could have been there. Im really interested in the whole "south" idea and the ICT route. Sorry to hear about the technical difficulties, but hey, unless we push the limits are we having fun? :lol3 OK, no need to answer that... Looks like a great new back tire though.

    Thanks for some great pics!!!:thumb

    Hi Andy,

I was just telling Heath during the ride, that you'd have been a great addition to that group. You'd have loved it, and wouldn't have had any problem keeping up. :evil Heath, Ed, and Bob are a great group of guys to ride with... youd like them. :nod

Anytime you want to do it, just let me know! I know you 'work' on Sundays... but I'm out of school soon, and we could do it on a Monday or Tuesday (or both... for that matter, there are lots of great spots to camp down there).

Later this summer, I'd like to do Jarbidge to Elko too... but that'll have to be around July when all of the passess are melted off for sure.

Looks to me you went to the top of Lookout Mtn Rd. and the backside is still snowed in. Great ride and awesome pics. My favorite place in Eastern Oregon. Did you make it past the Daly creek turnoff?
