Effective 1 April 2019, wb57 has this thread. Good Luck and safe ridin....

Well with Mail It or Rail It wrapped up, how about another North Carolina tag game? Like Mail It, it's a tag game with a twist.

Three things I've learned taggin here:
1- We have some active taggers in the Tar Heel state.
2- Damn near every cool place in North Carolina (well at least a lot of them) have already been tagged - in some cases several times. But there are riders who would still like to go there and tag them.
3- Riders like to use file tags - no more fighting it...:lol3

    So here's the game.

    Been There Maybe, NC Tag
Tag anything you want to in North Carolina (it should be at least interesting and worth $3.85 in gas to see it) and meet these simple rules. You know ya gotta have rules....

    1. TWO TYPES OF PHOTOS ARE ALLOWED.
Traditional (sorta) - Your bike with the tag and with your glove(s) clearly visible in the picture.
If the picture by itself isn't a good enough clue to find it, give us a hint.
    No glove(s) - no credit.

    (b) There are some cool things to ride to, but that don't lend themselves to parking your bike in front of the actual "thing". If you find one, use two pictures.
    1. Your bike at the tag location - so we can find it, glove(s) visible.
    2. Your glove(s) in the picture of the tag itself.

    2. THE PHOTOS OF THE GRAB SHOULD MIRROR (to the extent possible / two photos if used) THE TAG PHOTO.
Keep this in mind when you tag something that has restricted hours or may otherwise limit a rider's ability to grab it. And of course, respect private property, blah, blah, blah...

    3. FIRST “GRAB” PHOTO POST WINS.
Like normal, the first Grab gets to post the new tag.

    4. 3 DAY RULE:
If you Grab, you have 3 days (72 hours from your post) to tag something else. If you miss it, back up for the taking.

Final Note: wb57 may update the rules post 1 April 2019.

Let's see if we get any traction in this game. Safe ridin...

Neat concept but we are nowhere near running out of cool untagged locations in the state. We do have a lot of riders that cover the same ground and that lends itself to duplicate tags.

When I am on two wheels again I'll play. The sooner the better.

Yep, with a little imagination and a bit of Googlin, there are plenty of cool places left to go. Just take your gloves..:lol3

I hope it's sooner than later for ya back on two wheels.

My idea was to reopen things that have been visited before. When you take all the active NC tag games, a lot of pretty cool places and things have already been tagged. Yea, you could probably tag it again, but somebody would surely remind you of that. It's just more trouble than it's worth, to me anyway, to try and keep track.

The gloves - it will keep most of the archive pictures out of the game. As a general statement, most riders will actually have to visit (revisit) the sites. Also, new sites will be open with the 2 picture rule.

Just thinking of a new angle. Hope ya play.

Ok, I subscribed! Hope to be able to tag a few. I am a big fan of the "File Tags Suck" mindset. That's what I like about the VA and WV tag games.
NC has some awesome history in it. I never cared about retag.
    Hope this takes off.

What about adding a "No Planes, Trains and Automobiles" clause? Ain't nothing worse than a grab or tag made by an inmate who trailer there bike to the tag. It has been done in numerous games... Hate it!

Looking forward to some oldies but goodies!

Funny you said that, I was noticing that same thing last night. A lot of pictures have gloves on the seat.
Maybe pink underwear hanging off a handlebar? Bet nobody has those - but then again...

OK guess we'll just stick with gloves...

Oh yea, file tags (I'll claim temporary insanity) are OK. Didn't like the pink drawers idea? :D I was just on my way to Walmart.

Nice idea. Good new game. Thank you.

In terms of how someone plays the game and BS that really isn't in the rules but folks don't like it and their own interpretation... Well that's what FYYFF is for...:nod

Tagging games are fun. Yes they are games. Have fun. Ride it there. Trailer it there. Tow it. Push it there. Drop it from a helicopter to land there as far as I'm concerned as long as you get a picture and post it first...and the game keeps moving we have fun. Kind of a no harm no foul personality myself...

Thanks for the new game NCRoadToad!!!

Well glad to see a few taggers are interested, we'll see where it goes - and I'm not opposed to tweaking the game to make it better. Like something other than gloves (?).

As far as file tags, trailers, etc goes - it's not my thing but to each his own. If we do use file tags, shouldn't they be at least recent, as in since the game started? I mean really - I've got a ton of "file" tags, isn't the point to ride your motorcycle to these places? :banghead:

Oh well, I digress. Let's play and go burn some gas.:D

I'll be glad to join in as I'm new and will not have to worry too much about which spots have been tagged in the past.

I don't know that it really is the only salient point. The game and the entire site is about the relationship with one of man's greatest machines and what it affords to the rider. I'd rather you share a great file tag so I have a chance to ponder that awesome destination then corner you into riding to the best mediocre destination you can make it to before you have to get back to your other life. My opinion, file tags enhance the game. Glad you included them. If you have picture you likely did ride there anyway didn't you... I just can't see the validity of the objection. I'll stop babbling, let's play.
