Oil migration knowledge accepted. From right (clutch side) to left. 450 excr 2008 ... I am assuming its either of the two seals that have been replaced some 10,000 miles ago. Can't remember if it was the o ring on the pump plate or the crank seal. Anybody remember which bad seal causes the oil to go from right to left?

    i will play

07 450XC do it all bike.

when i first got it and added the baja designs dual sport kit
    [IMG]

got a few more pieces and parts, and some tires more street friendly to putt around town when im not in the dirt all day.

and got pretty carried away having fun tooling around on the street. 17s and pilot powers, and now with the 320mm brake setup.

supermoto keeps me occupied threw the hot summer. than this fall back to DOT knobbies. this has been one of my favorite and most versatile bike. in an hour or so i can go to the track, single track, desert, baja, dual sporting, the other track(cart or road), and back. swap some wheel and plastic and im ready for the next adventure.

You may want to do the (locking leaver) up date. It looks like you still have the bearing one in the second pic.

What type of skid plate is that? I'm trying to find a decent one for my 07 450XC.

Many options here. First, any RFS motor will fit. Stock displacement RFS motors come in 250, 400, 450 and 520/525. Second, there are many other displacements beyond 520/525 up to 610cc.

If you really want more power from the 400 I would suggest the 453 BB kit. Keeps the short-stroke crank but uses a 92mm cylinder (stock 525 cylinder) to bump it to 453cc. Completely different animal than the long-stroke 450. Thumper Racing sells the kits. Also look for a KTM 5521 cam (stock 450, 520/525 cam) to really boost the power through the mid range.
