1150 GSA Gas Tank Question

    I have a 2004 GSA . When I open the gas lid it has pressure on it, even if it's been in the garage. Any ideas?

    Tank vent issue. Does it have a charcoal cannister still? Make sure your vent hoses are clear.

    I've found my tank has a bit of pressure from time to time. And its never caused any issues.

    You shouldn't have any vacuum. That's why the vent hose is there. One of your lines is blocked. Check them before your tank develops a dent.

    Pull the vent hoses off the charcoal canister. I bet one of them has a few pieces of charcoal in it. You can clear the vent hoses or remove the canister. I would remove the canister.....

    de-cannister that thing immediately.

    I think we are confused about whether you have pressure or are pulling a vacuum?

    Pressure is one thing, but a vacuum will cave your tank in and leave a permanent dent for all eternity.

    remove the cannister, cap the throttle bodies, put all that junk in a box for the next owner and ride on smugly with the knowledge that your tank can breathe.
