Okay, after several attempts to post, I have finally figured this out.

My 2002 Sportster 883XL. I plan to make some changes and set the bike up for adventure touring. There are some really great conversions and builds on this forum and I hope to have my version within the next year.

That'll be interesting. Check out RTW Doug, he rode around the world on a sportster adventure bike. And a 48 Indian Chief , and some others.

Just drove around 14 hours round trip to pick this up.

09 XB12XT, 9500 miles, Corbin gunfighter and lady seat, Madstad windshield, comfort kit. It came with the stock seat and windshield too, so I may try them for awhile. I'm thinking the top trunk likely won't be there for commuting duties. Now that I have it, we've got rain and another cold snap coming.

I have a spinal cord injury that prevents me from shifting gears with my foot so I am limited to scooters and the thumb shifting Spyder. I still feel I am blessed as I still get to ride!

How about motorcycles with automatic transmission?
Have you heard / tried them before?
