WTF is the Flinders Ranges Mayor doing in the picture, saying a prayer ? Perhaps he's praying that his header pipe won't fall off. :lol3

She may wish to pay homage thats all:cry I was rudely questioned the other day as to the Doggies sticker on the tail. Told 'em it was left as a sign of respect.

Yeah right. Like the smelly Vics never stole all the great SANFL players to prop up the VFL eh.

And Outback Jack, that'd be "pastie" mate. A "pasty" is the colour of a Victorians face, 'cos the weather is so good........:rofl

That's what we like, ex-pats to the rescue.

    HAWKER

Hawker is the largest town before you head in to Wilpena & beyond.

The Pub has new owners who are more customer friendly (they own the Blinman pub).

2 Caravan parks. I recommend the Flinders Ranges Caravan park

General store/caffe opposite the servo, Good Coffee here.

    3 places for mechanical repairs/fabrication.

If you want a little upmarket tucker visit the Old Ghan Restaurant
the owner Bob likes a drink. Good food.
The restaurant is in the old Hawker railway station.

So there's no truth to the rumor that the baker from Cornwall was shipwrecked and survived on his Roo and rodent Pasty? Now a SA delicacy :dg

A bit of trivia, just to confirm TJ's story.

    Extracted from:
Walk from Parachilna Gorge to Mt Hopeless
Part One - Parachilna to Angepena by Gavin Campbell

"In the mood of the person who named this
area, (Hannigan Gap and Home rule Flat) maybe Patawarta Gap and Mountain had been wrongly spelt
and had in fact been named after that well-known Irishman Pat O'Warta. This would lend credence
to Hans Heysen calling the Mountain Old Pat;."

I'm looking for an interesting fire bucket to enjoy a small fire and a large beer or three by after a long day of riding.

I'm looking for something like a small tractor or excavator bucket however am open minded. I'm willing to spend a few bucks and to organize transport. Please help!
