    Sorry to hear that. I have taken the liberty of removing you from the ride of mine that you had signed up for. Heal up and make the next one!

    Joel mentioned that he was trying to get his HAM radio license... so I thought I would mention that on March 16, 2013, at the Ruby's Diner in Redondo Beach, California there will be HAM radio testing put on by OAUSA.

    Can you get to lookout mountain from Darwin or Panamint Valley or make a loop out of it ?

    You get there from Panamint Valley, but from Darwin, not that I have ridden, to the southwest of Lookout Mountain is China Lakes and restricted area, Looking on Google earth there's a wash that leads up and over the range from Lookout but might go into China Lake. There might be a way, but it won't be easy, might not be possible to get bike through there and without riding it first I wouldn't lead anyone in there.

    There is however a very small, very narrow knarly looking single track donkey trail that drops down into Panamint near Minietta Cabin from Lookout, but last time I was there I wasn't on a bike I would take down it.
    If any experienced riders want to give it a go to see if it's possible to ride thursday AM or sunday AM let me know. It's very narrow, tight switchbacks with 1-2 thousand foot almost vertical drops though off the 1-2 foot wide trail and unknown where it goes... It goes down into a wash though so how hard can it be. :evil

    best viewed in Google earth to get an idea of the vertical nature of the "trail".

    it was advised that I post up,(thx Chris)
    so if others are interested in these 2 rides or any other FULL rides
    then the ride leaders can decide to add or make a second group/split
    or deny :deal {...you'll notice, I chose from the rides that presented this option:wink:

    I'm interested in;

    Any chance we can get another one of these rides added for Friday?

    1. Hunter Mountain, Teakettle, Racetrack, Ubehebe Crater -- noob - FULL

    They're pretty much a must see set of DV spots and that particular ride has been filled up from the get-go. Not sure who's in charge of such things but I'd love to get in on that one...

    A possibility. I want to see Titus Canyon too. And I have a new guy along and we need noobish type ride for Friday.
    Ubehebe is not that far from Scotty's Castle. Once up that way, if you haven't seen the place, it's worth running out there to at least walk the grounds, take in the tour if you're up to it or have time.
