Yep that's me. Least I could do, Pyn's done a bit of work on my bike over the last few years, he even hobbled around it on crutches fitting me a new set of front brake lines while his foot was in plaster :thumb

With all the call ins and the insight we've had on this Dakar plus a worthy top 50 finish it's just my way of giving a bit back. :D

It's definitely an experience I can recommend Nate I've been lucky enough to go 3 times and I love it. The last time I went was the centenary but as someone else said the weather is definitely unpredictable, wet weather gear is a must!! It's a great island

Some closing comments after finishing the Dakar Rally 2013.

I am truly blown away by all the support and encouragement that I have received from all my followers, you are all an integral part of Lyndon Poskitt Racing and I thank you for that.

I got my backpack and another t-shirt today. :clap

    And my art prints!:clap

II hope to be able to carry one to where ever we can coax Lyndon to come to the colonies and give a talk to three and get his autograph.:freaky

    Great job!

It has been a pleasure to follow Pyndon's racing this year. I look forward to more in the future. ... and the neverending tale of the 950 Adventures as well. :evil

My first toe dip into the support waters was back when a fellow adv'r came out of America's "Heartland" and headed to Dakar, only for that event to be cancelled. I missed out on all the F5un for that one.

Then I think it was the assault on Baja by the venerable Double Barrel Racing crew. :lol3
    That was a blast!
Or was that before Heartland? Who knows? IT has been fun.

Then last year our own Neduro went to Dakar and finished, and made all those calls so all of us back here could ride along.
I was hooked. I did what I could and last year I was in a position to get to see a lot more of Dakar form the F5 point of view. The F5ire hose was amazing fun. Sneaking peaks between work tasks...:lol3
My wife and daughters liked the wine sponsorship. Layer Cake has become a label we rate wine shops by.

This year I was on eggshells spending my days pretty much disconnected only catching up in the evening for a few hours. Those call-ins to RALLYRAIDio were my lifeline to the Dakar experience and following Lyndon's progress, success and trials.
Thanks to Nate for those. You rock! Being able to pull something like that together just makes this internet thing so worth it.
With both Ned and Lyndon we on this end of the calls got to hear their weariness, and excitement and enjoyment of their experience. That doesn't come though any of the on-air stuff we have usual access to here in the states. I don't recall seeing anything anywhere that draws the listener into the heads and world of the experience so well.
Lyndon and Ned taking the time to make the call, and recounting their day so completely after all those miles heat, sand, rain and crashing picking the bike up and still we can hear their smiles.
That alone just made my days end as great days.

    Thanks guys.

Thanks Mischa, Nate, Ned, and Lyndon. Without you all and the F5 Crew many of us would know more about NASCAR and snooker than Dakar. :thumb

I'm looking forward to the next chapters.

If "more fun stuff" means Romaniacs, Erzburg or the ISDE I say that would be awesome :clap

I'm late to the party... but no less excited for it.

    What an absolutely awesome achievement.

It's awesome for me to be on the other side of the coin this year...

    Congrats, Pyn.

Just got to watch the video. It was great to follow along the Dakar and even now to see what's going through the mind of the competitors, the ups and downs as you described them.

    Thanks for taking us along!

The way he puts KTM's together I wouldn't' be surprised if those pointy noisy things he works on go faster too from now on!

It's going to be sweet in a couple of years when we'll get video right from the bivouac. :freaky
