Hello everybody! I think I might qualify as a n00b with excessive motivation. :-D [IMG]

You know me so well. I HATE the black seat. My first order of business is to get the thing running well. Then the seat. So I'm open to your idea. And it'd be blue & yellow, not black & blue ('cos no drops!).

I'll be in touch as I have the stock seat (the one you see in the pics is the old owner's Renazo which is too hard for the lightweight me). There is a part of me that wants to honor Elsa by doing some pink.

I'll say this. The TE is rE-TAHR-ed. Love, love, love this thing. And who doesn't love something unpronounceable.

Today I went exploring around NW RI. Found some new dirt roads, got me thinkin, the rest of New England has trans-xyz trail, anyone want to help make on for RI? The quahog trail? I know liloita has some maps of dirt roads, is be willing to scout some too...

I know there are more dirt roads than this shows, but It was posted somewhere in this forum and I saved the link.

jgormley, the Trips, and I talked about this a few year ago...the TRIT. We probably have 2/3s of it done. We're lacking at the very top of the state (in B'ville up to the MA line) and in the southwest area. I know Rhode trip had ideas for that area (I'm thinking Charlestown east into CT). I'm never down there and only know Carolina Management Area, and I'm not sure they're even accessible to motor vehicles.

I think that's the area we need to concentrate on. We've got B'ville south to Exeter covered really well.

Unless we want to have the "trans" of Rhode Island be from the Pachaug/Voluntown area up through Exeter/West Greenwich and then north.

The Google Map link includes connecting tarmac roads; it's not all dirt. I had a grand dream of making a map of the state, and this is all I got to, and that was a few years ago. I wouldn't use it, and it's my own map.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

What I'd really like to do is have one/several GPX files and route sheets. My thing with route sheets is I don't do the mileage, just the directions because I can't be bothered. But if folks want to help out, we could do it properly.

It'd be a fun fall project.

Yeah, what I had been working on was from Blue Shutters Beach to George Washington Mgt Area. From Hopkinton City south is not much dirt except for a short stretch and the sugar sand of the beach road. My idea was to camp at Burlingame on a Friday night and then ride all day camping Saturday night at Geo Washington.
I think we could do a main route with optional hero sections.

That sounds like a very fun way to spend a weekend... I think I need to spend some time with the maps and see what I can come up with for dirt between Burlingame and Hopkinton...

    I've got nothing.

My best hope was Woody Hill, but a large part of that is now golf course and the roads I did find are all marked with "No Tresspassing/No Unauthorized Vehicles" signs.
