I prefiltered my atv airbox lid with a piece of old cut up air filter and hot glue. I didnt notice any jetting changes required. I will be doing the 3x3 on my DRZ airbox in the near future as well. It really lengthens the air filter life and service intervals.

In the 90's I had a DT200R that had been done up by a pro, it also had a make shift sponge foam pre filter over the opening cut in the air box, somehow I am going to rig one up for the DRZ. Looking at it yesterday I was thinking of bending up a bit of 6mm wire into a frame to hold my pool filter sock.

It might also have the added benefit of running a little quieter too.

After spending too amny hours searching for the Mukini Flaot Valve part# for my 2002 DRZ400S, I ordered the wrong part from Thumper Talk Parts Store.

Anyone have the part number for my Mikuni 29FB carb? I've got the leaking valve problem. probably the "O" ring, but might as well replace the whole assembly.

    Thanks in advance!!:clap

That whole assembly is like 60+ bucks, i just replaced my o-ring and it fixed my leak right away,

no need to buy the whole assembly, just take your o-ring to a auto parts store and match it up, they did not even charge me for it.

I had looked at those, but was concerned that the rack only had 2 mounting points; therefore not much to stop it twisting under the load... plus they are too low and too far forward for the panniers I have.

In July (our winter), I'll need to carry my Caribou (Pelican) cases for a very remote, rough, long & unsupported ride. I have made up a rack that works, but I know it can be made lighter and a bit narrower than what I have... I was just looking at easily adaptable options that could go the distance. I'm looking at approx 10-14kg per side for the pannier & contents (probably less, but I always like to allow for more). And no, I'm not changing from the Caribou luggage, It was chosen for a reason (several of them actually).

Good choice on the luggage, saw an 1150 Bmer dropped on those, it only bent the mount a little, no more than a scratch or two on the side bag.
