Camp Cow Crap(part 3)

I've run the 990 down Dictum Ridge from 2nd Mt road to where the ATV road turns to trail and back while getting a DStag. But going from rt33 up to that point on a 990 will be worth putting on youtube. We will need at least 4 committed people on this ride...and rope/straps.

Are you saying that the DR is the perfect smaller bike?

It is a bit steep. Over 30% grade in a couple of spots.:huh

This route looks BADASS!!! (Am I allowed to say that on here? Nevermind, I don't care) If we are taking these roads then I just might leave the guns at home.

Thats why I was saying just your concealed carry and a box of ammo. It shouldn't take up much room or add to much weight. Keep it simple.

As soon as you get off rt 33 your are going straight the cuss up through off camber rutted baby heads. If it's wet, I'm not going either.

Well, I'm game as long as I have friends to film (and also to help pick up that pig when I crash:eek1)!

Will anyone be free that thursday? We could do a scouting run with a gopro so an informed decision could be made.

Ahh, what the hell, I'm game; looks like there might a good group of us attempting this so when I break myself and my bike at least I'll have help!


Oh, and of course there'll be someone video-documenting it too!

If its the first thing we do....it's not that far from h14's, and a truck, and tools, and hospital.

I'm free, I have a GoPro and I'll bring it - but someone else will have to film since there is no way in hell I can get my pig up that trail!

I'll wear your GoPro! Sounds like no matter how you look at it, we are going to have some interesting footage for camp that night.

I've watched a few videos of what was supposed be narly off road stuff. It didn't look that tough to me. I'm not saying it wasn't, but you couldn't really tell how tough it was from the video.

We'll have plenty of time to scout it Friday morning.

Hell, I kept hearing how bad Dunkle Hollow was before I did it. I went through the tough part and didn't know it until Kevin told me we just went through it.

Dictum isn't hard either, it's all relative. Can't be too difficult if I made it.
