Yes I am sad to say I was squarely with the "takers" believing in the hooligan glory that would come of a resurrected SSOD. I am ashamed to admit that the "leavers" had it right all along and I am a convert.

Agree.....This saga needs to go on. The sleepless nights, the mental torment and the constant wonderment of what has happened to the Sunken Sidecar of Doom is nearly unbearable..... :D

I agree the SSOD never looked too much worse than the XS650 outfit that has taken me to work for the last 15 years! :1drink

The OP hasn't logged on since 6/2011. He must be working pretty hard to get the rig ready for showing.

Hm, it must've been called Sidecar of Doom for a reason, I guess.
So, why not ask Van Helsing to check on the OP? :dllama

The Holy SSOD has extracted its penance. The OP is likely in another multiverse now serving penance.

    If I lose a 100lbs, I won't need the extra 20hp. :D

Oh wait, that wasn't directed at me..... Carry on. :hide

Wow, it looks like the SSOD is older than we thought. I'm pretty sure this is when it all started. Right after he changed the spark plug he began unbolting the bike from the sidecar. Since then the pedestrian bridge has been replaced with a very modern one and the river banks have been lined with concrete. But the sidecar stayed put through all that, until it was finally rescued right here in this thread, almost 10 years ago!

Dude, it's like the shroud of Turin or something... photographic proof of the sacred sidecar being entombed.

Upon closer inspection, why would the guy have a little monkey with a hat on, and a tiny chihuahua dog?
