I looked at my 950 still covered in dirt from Baja:D wiped a bit off the silencer with my finger and thought I should clean her up a bit. Na "F" it. Shes a dirty whore. lol. Its raining I'll take her for a ride into SF and sprinkle some baja love onto the bay area roadways.

$75 Non-S Center Stand (complete and in great shape) from an inmate:

Thick mild steel bushings (snug fit)

1" .90 tubing cut to 33mm is a .05" larger than the 24mm tubing used with the center stand. No biggie. Dry fit:

Drilled 5/16" rosette weld holes in the center stand and filler tube so I could weld the bushing inserts in place for strength, in addition to welding the circumference of the butt joints. Welded, primed and painted. Not my best work (in fact it looks like shite), but strong, and works perfect.

Already had lots of tube and bushings, so only out $75. Sure beats $350.

Rode the rebuilt motor 950 180 miles. Bad oil leak developed. Took apart this AM and have a broken oil return line angle connector into the front valve cover.

Those little suckers get very brittle baking behind the radiator and oil cooler. Got to order a new set.

Other than that it ran great!

Mounted 2 pelican 1550 cases to my H&B Racks using Caribou's DIY kit. Awesome product and install was a snap. They seem rock solid too. I have a supplier for pelicans out here so to save on shipping I went this route. Now I need to order the top box I want and the luggage system will be complete.

Also mounted an accessory plug for the GPS in the Glove box for the new garmin I picked up a nuvi 1450.

    God this is addicting.

Nice one Gav.....it feels good doesn't it! You rider em harder once they are paid for!!

    What did I do today?

Well, fixed the water pump again. 5th pump I've put in it now but this was the first time it had actually gone, the other were just preventative.

Oh yeah, fixed the rear brake on my bike and.......

Replaced a shift drum bearing on my spare 950 motor. Had to strip the entire motor to do this, that damn little bearing had to be the last Russian doll didn't it!

Anyway, progress. Just come in and lit fire to get warm :vardy

I love those bags, I just don't have the current riding to warrant them.

But as soon as I do...

Started the process of reinforcing my 950 Super Enduro subframe this afternoon.

Used 1/8 x 1.5" 6061. Although not shown in the this pic, added an addition patch on the sides before it starts the horse shoe, making that an additional 1/4" thick at each outside section (at the weakest point). Crap load of work. Primed and I need to pick up some GM Rally Wheel paint tomorrow (looks to be a good match). It may not be pretty, but won't be able to see it anyway and it should be bombproof.
