    Compared to other rally raids:

    Tuareg, $2000, 7 days = $285/day
    Sertoes, $3200, 10 days = $320/day
    Mex 1000, $1800, 4 days = $450/day
    Aussie Safari, $4200, 7 days = $600/day

    And of course...

    Dakar, $19000, 14 days = $1350/day

    But when you consider shipping expenses, the Mex 1K is much cheaper overall for North American competitors.

    Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's outrageous, just that it's harder when your from this half of the country.....I'm going to find a way to make it happen even if I have to tie my shirt in a knot at a truck stop and........well you get the idea.

    I was wondering how you guys that are planning on soloing the M1K for 4 days without chasers deal with hauling along things like a change of clothes, spare parts etc?
