The next morning we were off for another local ride

A little hike to the beach

    Checking out the fauna

We stopped at Ragged Point for a snack and some gas, took a walk to the scenic point.

We then headed into the hills

There was a little incident with a ford explorer but no pics so it didn't happen :D

    Nice view, fun road

The next morning we were up early.

Chris got a group photo, we took it in front of Woody's tent because he was still asleep :D

Today would be very light on pictures, I had a long way to go and I wasn't taking fast roads. Somewhere along the way my temp light came on, getting to the radiator on the Dakar requires taking off plastic. So I pulled out my tools, ripped the plastic off the bike and found that the radiator was mostly empty. I knew that I had a small leak but it would seem that the leak had grown during the trip. It was a good thing I had a full dromedary bag because I used about 1/2 of it filling the radiator. I buttoned up the bike and just as I was finishing a couple of guys on adventure bikes asked if I needed any help. I was out there for about 1/2 an hour and a good 25 bikes had gone by without anyone even slowing down to look if I needed help. Thanks to you guys who did stop.

I got on the road and it was looking dodgy for me to finish my trip the way I wanted to. I passed through Nevada city just as the sun set, I started to head into the mountains when it started to drizzle. I decided that a hotel room was sounding good. I grabbed a room and then went for a walk around town.

    Thanks

Buying a new camera to take better pics is like buying a new pen to write better :D

If you want to take better pics you should do some research on how to take better pics, then you can make an informed decision on what kind of camera you want. This is someplace to start.

Al thanks for the incredible photos, amazing. I can't wait to go try the Happy Camp short cut into Cal and some of the areas along the Cal coast.
Maybe not some of the dirt as my gal (Duc) is a bit prissy, but I look forward to exploring Cal. Thanks again for the intrigue.

I'm late to the party, but just went through this thread twice enjoying the artistry. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!

Are you shooting with a variable ND filter to shoot with wider apertures, or do you have a whole stack of filters you bring along? Do you have a target aperture in mind when setting up landscape shots, and filter to meet that, or are you just say using a .6 and just opening up as much as you can? Did those questions make sense?
