That is true, however, he does have UK residency (and Australia being a colony, sorry I mean 'commonwealth country'... an ikkle biddy Union Jack on his national flag too of course)... but yes, technically he is still an antipod'

So that's two British riders, and one adopted one x

    Holy shit!

That is awesome. Congrats and good luck. You will have an astounding finish, no doubt.

    Question though:

How much is this going to cost you from start to finish as a grand total?

Congrats on your registration. T-shirts and stickers would be a great idea. Also, I've always loved the way Jonah has accepted donations to get your name on his bike.

In terms of Paypal, it is such an easy way for people to contribute, that it would probably be worth your while to accept the fees as a cost of doing business and hope for an increased number of transactions to offset the transaction fees.

    Good luck!

Hi Barton - yes, I was thinking of doing something similar - perhaps on the rear fender - and then auction it off at the end of the rally too as a pukka piece of memorabilia?

And I'll look into Paypal more closely, as I agree it is probably the simplest way - my concern is that they will block the account if they start getting too many similar payments, or it goes over a certain amount they want you to upgrade it to a business account...

Sweet. A fender on the wall may not be my wife's taste, but I'm all over it.

Regarding Paypal, is there anyway you could spin this effort into a charitable effort that could see you take advantage of some tax breaks and service-fee breaks?

Raffle tickets and winner keeps the bike ? I bet you could pay that bike off and a chunk of some other expenses. I for one would throw down a couple of hundred bucks for one of those tickets. Just a suggestion, would certainly get you some of that cash your looking for
