Hey! I know that gal, AND that bike! You sure have a busy lens there buddy... I have a viola, and I'm not afraid to use it! But I agree, BOTH are sexy! That Ducati is only days old now, and a freakin' blast to ride. I helped her pick it up, and was convinced against my will to test ride it. What a drag. I think she likes it... Day two of ownership (perhaps just after you met her): Speeding ticket. Welcome to the club baby! Looks like you had a great time in AZ. I prefer the winter for sure, but if you have the chance to ride, better DO IT, eh? Cheers, Diek
Dang Upst8, you have been busy. Great RR I can't wait to get out that way next year. I've been taking notes of others RR's. Be safe, have fun!
Went back yesterday for another attempt at getting some footage from Saguaro NP West...Went with a side mount for the Hero Cam, definitely think it is the better of the two angles. Will be experimenting with a few more in the future.... <object width="425" height="240" ><param name="movie" value="https://cdn.smugmug.com/ria/ShizVidz-2010071401.swf" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="flashVars" value="s=ZT0xJmk9OTgyNzUzNTE1Jms9UU5jbjQmYT0xMzQ2NTExOV8zRWV0USZ1PVVwU1Q4" /><embed src="https://cdn.smugmug.com/ria/ShizVidz-2010071401.swf" flashVars="s=ZT0xJmk9OTgyNzUzNTE1Jms9UU5jbjQmYT0xMzQ2NTExOV8zRWV0USZ1PVVwU1Q4" width="425" height="240" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true"></embed></object> Road is really nice, smooth with a sand wash every now and again. The views are breathtaking. So grateful to be able to see this on two wheels!! Thanks again KIC!!
The side view looks good, the camera takes some getting used to. I tried a handlebar mount, but the 650 vibrates pretty bad. Looked like you were going pretty good in the vid.
Great S AZ pics. Tucson is a great area. Thanks for a cool trip down memory lane! I have several of BOTH of these...
Well I am a day behind on my report and I don't think I can do justice to putting today's together. So, let me concentrate on yesterday's ride. Again KIC is da man for allowing me to hold onto the KLR for some more riding this Saturday. I had no real plan other then go back out to Redington Road and explore some of the side roads I saw off it the first time I went through last weekend. Mother nature had other plans though. Made a quick stop while the morning light was good for some pics shortly after getting into the dirt. Of course I had to get some macro shots as well.. OK...on to riding.... Already talked about this road on the first post, but it is that good. Not too rough, not too smooth, plenty of scenery and the fact that I can be on it 20 minutes after leaving the hotel is really nice too Took a break after about 20 miles of riding for some H2o and of course pics, pics, pics Made my way back onto Redington after going down some farmer's road which dead ended for me at a No Tresspass sign... Still hadn't seen much evidence of all the rains we had THIS IS OPEN RANGE COUNTRY First encounter with Arizona Mud It is different kind of mud out here Very slick, very sloppy and sticks to everything like glue...after drying it becomes a brick Made a right off of Redington onto San Pedro River Rd. Now you would think with a name like that and all the rain we had I would know better then to think I could go down this road......nope. Never registered
Hey old pal,,,,IRC GP-1 tires,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ah,,,,,,,suck in the mud. Or Kenda 270's,,,just a copy of the IRC,,,that looks like what that KLR has on it hunh. Hey where are all the tree's?
Hotel Internet is down, so I may not get this thing together tonight. No way am I doing it over the phone, it took me 5 minutes just to type this
Prickily ferns don't count as tree's. You come East and we'll take you for a ride,,,i'll show ya some tree's.Its the least we can do for taken care of brother Upst8. Shit, and some ice too. I'm sure we can find a bike for ya.
