I was supposed to be riding in Tucsan this weekend, but I was kinda sick this week and a scheduled 30 minute bike maintenance turned into a nightmare. Showing up a the Honda dealer Friday morning without an appointment, I asked them to do the best they could, no promises were made. I was totally knackered from being run down and getting hardly any sleep, so I cancelled my Tucsan hotel reservation and started planning a weekend laying around, feeling sorry for myself.

The Honda shop called me sometime after lunch, bike is done, all is well! WOW! It would be such a pity to not try to at least salvage part of the weekend for a ride. I quickly assembled a couple of riders to do a short ride at WILDCAT, one of my favorite ride spots. It's close and if I still felt poorly, I could bail early.

I got a great night of sleep Friday, and felt pretty refreshed for Saturday. I'm sure that Javalina and Jaybiker will agree, it showed!

Javalina's first attempt didn't bode so well either.

We did a lot of the same stuff that you took me on last time we were out there. We did some cow trails after a splash and dash in Camp Creek, then some Granite Mountain, and back to Wildcat. Good stuff!

I had a pretty good crash on a jeep road downhill back towards Camp Creek. Ouch!

Rewarding views from the top. The Fountain Hills fountain shoots a geyser of water 560 feet into the air!

We finished the day on the same rocky ridge we started on. Returning to the trucks, we found the NF Rangers and Sheriff checking bikes for OHV Stickers and spark arrestors.

Wow, I was out riding alot of the same trails on Saturday morning. I'm surprised we didn't run across one another.

I was inspired by your last Wildcat RR to find the High Ridge ST...definitly worth riding a couple of times.
