I never quit.
Just cut back.
Been doing dualsport events. One last Sunday and another this coming.
Then it'll be back to the street.

They seemed to be pretty tame but it was cool and dry.

Got out for a little spin this afternoon after the rains moved through, changed oil and hope to ride more tomorrow.

Weather front kinda stalled right over my neighborhood today instead of moving through quickly as forecast but they say we needed a good soaking rain like that. The sun did peek out a little bit this afternoon and I deemed it safe enough to ride over to the park and do some local leaf peepin', needed to warm up the oil anyway as it was a bit overdue for a change.

My yard doesn't usually pop with brilliant fall color but it was kinda pretty today so I shot a few pics before rolling out.

Ok...here we go.

Lighting was tough for on the fly......

The Kings Mtn park usually has the best fall color down here close to home....

I'd say this weekend is probably peak for us after having that hard freeze last Friday night.

It was better to just stop for pics.....as I'm sure it probably always is.

History lesson.

Met a lady with 2 horses on Apple Rd, I stopped to get a pic and she led the horses off to the side so it would be easier for me to pass...it worked out well and she smiled and waved....didn't quite get the camera ready before she was already 1/2 way off the road though....

It was just a quick spin around the 'hood....maybe I can get a little further down the road tomorrow.

Thanks guys.....I made it over into the Lake Lure area today before rain showers chased me back to the house but I don't think the colors were as good over there....yet. That area is referred to as being in an isothermal belt that has milder weather than the are surrounding it so maybe next weekend will be better over there.

This road is too much fun to even care about the colors really.

Yep....I'd say there's still time to enjoy the foliage in that area.

p.s. the roads suck though....all twisted up funny

Stopping for a pic isn't a bad thing....I'd ridden this road many times before and never noticed the waterfall down below.....


































Should have tried slowing the shutter down some more.
