No problems Scotty, will be back in Oct for the big show at the Convention Centre, but won't be at the seminar though, will catch you then.

GMH will get on fine, but that story gets bigger all the time.....:deal

Been doing the fire thing lately so not much time for riding, heading off on the TU later in the week for a ride down the GOR and beyond.
Rode to Mt Napier a couple of days ago, walked to the top, It is DRY. Mt Napier would burn in 5 minutes with a good north wind.
Cant find the post but someone mentioned bike riding and retirement a while ago. Having entered that phase of life the reality may surprize. There should be a thread on the subject. How many adventure riders, lets say over 60 are there, the numbers may be small.

Been lazy lately, so i'll post up some photos of a ride down to Port Fairy i did last wednesday. Took the back roads via Mt Eccles from home and kris-crossed via the Port Fairy Rd down to the coast for a hearty lunch and a Guiness or two :1drink .
Along the way i found a gem of a road leading down to Crags, all dirt track with grass along the way with twists & turns, ups & downs even with a couple of crists you'd jump the bike over.

Of course it would not be very nice to be sending some txt msgs to fellow GTR members who have to work while you are at play. Wouldn't be surprised if that person wanted to sabotage your bike or piss in your rum or something.

Riverside Rd, 3.5km before the Koroit turn off. Its a access track to ajoining propertys and runs for about 10.5km, when you get to the end turn left at the house and you have the most awesome bit of slab i've ever come across, i nearly turned the bike around to give it another go :evil .

Once you get to the Princess hwy, Port Fairy is only 10km down the road & the Crags turnoff is only 400 mtr to your right :D .

And sorry Nuttz but no beached whales were harmed on this ride :rofl.

I think I know the road/track you went on.....the bitumen at the end feels like a bicycle path or similar???

We used that when we did the 2011 Cancer Ride after having stayed at Preston Paul's on the saturday night.

I reckon that stretch of bitumen would be awesome on a tweaked pocket bike.....except I'm not sure my shitfull back and mid-life spare tyre would allow me to straddle ine
