My wife has agreed to spend our 25th anniversary riding somewhere on the bike. My plan is to get somewhere in the general vicinity of Mt. Washington and spend 5-6 days doing day rides. We're looking for a nice campground(showers) or just a basic cabin. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

RT 2 headed east out of gorham, on left, before shelburne, Timberland Campground. Not fantastic, but good location.

Moose Brook Sate park right in Gorham. Why? State run, safe, quiet, bike friendly (I stay there a few times each year and most of the times I see bikes there), good size tent sites with room between so you don't watch your neighbors, I leave my tent up with all gear in it for 4-5 days and nothing was ever taken, stocked fishing pond in the park, natural pool and bath house in park, showers (coin operated) are cleaned twice per day, bears occasionally come by for a visit, gas is 3 minutes away, restaurants and shops are 10 minutes away.

Try to include a cruise along Rte 118, have a snack at the gorge by the wooden steps. Sandwich notch rd & a sandwich in sandwich, nh might be to your liking also.

Thanks for the help everyone. We will be heading that way the 2nd week of June. Neither of us have spent anytime in the Northeast and looking forward to riding some new roads.

I'm sure it is all relevant to the type and amount of beverages consumed prior to 2am.

I ran into two buddies of yours on ATVs in my playground before the snow fell. Well, they mentioned they were from Merrimack, I told them I knew someone there, and we both found out we know the same person - you:deal I told them to say "Hi!" and I hope they did.

BTW, not sure how much time you spent back here, but since we last rode together (it's been what, two, three years?), I found quite a few trails.
