Better put the bike back together if the weather stays like this.

Haha. Yeah FnF, I keep wanting to send my jacket in for warranty but I keep needing it! Be nice to switch out the tires to the really knobby ones too.

This weather might make me think about getting insurance put back on... and updating the license sticker!

I need to complete the fork swap on the DR.

Here's what it looks like right now:

Anybody have some winter / spring trips?

I might be doing dunes and Moab again. I only have the XRR but everybody else will be on 2-smoke dirt bikes...

A few days after that (Easter weekend) a small group of us will be in Moab. Just after your visit unfortunately.

I'm heading down to California in mid April to attend the Rawhyde Next Step training and follow that up with the week long adventure ride in Mohave and Death Valley. I'll be hauling my F800GS down in my truck.

A buddy and I got out yesterday. Wicked ride. Flat tire as the sun went down but we had it fixed in no time and back on the trail to return to the truck at night.

I do miss my dirt bike! My buddy let me ride his WR450.

Mr Canoehead - the forks look great. You should post the whole write up that you sent me on ADV. Nice work on both the fork swap and the write up.

    Cheers, DD

-5C and 200kms today on Big Blue. Cool but refreshing after 2 months of the winter blues. Just paved bumpy backroads unfortunately. Anything dirt was ice covered. Paved stuff was dry all the way to Elbow Falls including all the small stuff south, west and east of southern Calgary. Love the heated vest and grips. Cold toes though. Stopped for coffee in Priddis, got warmed up and did another 100kms. Didn't realize how much I needed that.:clap

Anyone interested in doing a fairly regular hang night somewhere to have a pint and chat bikes? I was thinking Thursday nights and frequency per month would depend on interest. I'd prefer somewhere south end or central.

I'd be interested. Wild Rose Brewery is pretty central, easy to get to and has good food (and great beer).

    I'd be interested too.

I'll be the lady of the group and say coffee is good too. Better options for patios and people watching on summer nights.

The one night we did a coffee night on 17th had a decent turnout of about 7-8 of us. Interesting to hear peoples riding history, and future plans, etc.

I was thinking of checking that coarse out. Supposed to be worth it just to ride there.
