Found this one last year on north main in the dirt [IMG]. Thought it would makea great prank to hang this on someone's cube at work, but the sex harrasment laws had me thinking twice about that.

Finally got a key and went up skyline. Didn't see any bikes up there just a bunch of teenagers driving their parents suv.
Took my first spill in about 3 years, now the bike has some character. I just installed some Acerbis hand gaurds and glad I did! My hand would have been shattered. Other than a bruised hip and ego I survived.
The husky sure smoked for a bit until the oil burnt off.
I get lazy in wearing gear, and I can attest after this spill I won't anymore, everything I had on did its job.

See my fellow riders in a couple weeks.:clap

Fire roads are no joke. Slick as snot and harder than concrete. I should be able to ride in a few more weeks. That should be enough time for me to install replacement HighwayDirtBike parts and new bars. :deal

If that doesn't work out for you, I'd recommend Steve Searcey at CLEAN Racing over in Costa Mesa. He did a fantastic job with my 990, was honest, and very fair. He asked all the right questions and got it right the first time, been doing it forever...

Thanks for the input, I'll gve him a call too. The instructions say I need to grind the retainer off the stock shaft to get the original valve off, but don't grind too much off or you're fooked. :huh OK... I really can't afford to be fooked.

Keith, I stand corrected. Terminal velocity for a 1980's Honda weighing 375 lb and 16 hp is around 175mph.

Wow, one day and 4 good leads on suspension work. Thanks so much! I rebuilt the front end myself with the race tech emulators and new springs. It is a huge upgrade. Can't wait to have the rear end done as well...

Your such a good sport about it... makes it too much fun to tease about your "Hot tub time machine bike collection"

That's a good story, have another one?

The ones who appear to take it all in stride are the ones who end up guinning you down later. And then everyone says, "....he was such a nice guy, I never saw that coming..." :lol3

    ruh ro :huh

    oooops :eek1

I never thought of Jeff as one to be going postal
but I guess you just never know until its WAY too late :baldy

truth be told though Jeff was the first ADVer I ever met up and rode with
(at the Ride for Kids ride in Big Bear)
and he's just as fast on his fat heavy dual rear shocked dinosuar bikes
if not just slightly faster than me on my newer-ish ill handleing small bike
so we had a great time :clap

    Hi Jeff :raabia

he's probably carving my name in a bullet right now :lol3
