Well I am getting packed up for the trip to work tomorrow. Took 3 days off. Went to Marina's company Christmas get together last night at Pinnacle Hills Country Club. Definitely above my pay grade.

Marina has 5 years in with them so she received a really cool original hard back of Sam's book signed with personal thanks from all three of his remaining children. Jim does the honors at the party each year. Really good people to work for, wish they owned my company.

Merry Christmas and may everyone be stone free by New Years.

Happy Chenukah to Matt. Cheap as he is I think he is Jewish.

Does anybody know of any second hand roadside repair utensils for sale? I almost went to the local store and bought some but I like to recycle unused items first.
the list includes but not limited to
    tire pump
    tire irons
    tubes
    patch kits

First time I have ever wished for a lightweight helmet, for some reason todays ride really took a toll on my neck!

Bike rolled over 95K miles on this trip, had fun following Magoo around.

Thanks for showing me some new places Tim!

I didnt get a picture of my hockey puck, going down that ledge in the picture with Tim, it hit a rock and came off, when I parked to get tims picture I didnt realize the puck had gotten knocked off and the damn bike nearly fell on me.

Tim retrieved the puck, and im currently trying to reinstall it.

I figured you were medicated and in too much pain Charlie sorry.

Kind of a spur of the moment type deal, we went so slow you would have been bored out of your gord anyway.
You know its bad when I cant keep up with Magoo in the gravel..

Howdy Doc, I was lost, just following Magoo, but I am pretty sure that we did go down it.

it was FUN, we bypassed about 80 yards right past the ledge in the pic, there were two rockcrawler rigs coming up, thankfully magoo saw them and diverted to trail, or we would have been down in that trench trying to turn bikes around.

I was really not at all impressed with the cafe food... I was all excited initially, thinking that we were going to end up at that buffet where 10cup always shows the pics... its in chester or winslow or somewhere else..

Ill probably eat some crackers , and a tuna pouch the next time I end up in natural dam

    :1drink
    a few more pics

Yeah Doc, we went down Pannell Rd, ate at Natural Dam, then went up Freedom/Bunyard road up over the Hopper Tunnel. Charlie, the last place you need to be is to be stoned on Pannell Road! I didn't ask, I didn't want to tempt you. Plus, I am afraid of Martha.

Most of that stuff, is either used by the person that owns it, or broken beyond use.

tire irons are under $20 a set for cheapies ( what I own)
pump is $10 at walmart ( for a SLOW one), $25 at harbor freight for a better ( bigger heavier) one.

a patch kit is like $2.99 at walmart, for the little cheapy slime kit, or $10 for one with gummy work plugs and the tools too.

garage sales would likely be a good source for some of these things, but it might take a long time to collect enough of a set to be useful as a stand alone package.

instead of paying $$35 for a local shop to mount your tires, spend that $35 and equip yourself.

Its worked for me, although, my elbows and knees wish Id spend the $35 sometimes.

Before I sign off for good let me throw out there you can get good brand patches at the local bike (bicycle) shops. I get the German Revo's at High Roller, and Lewis and Clarke carry some others. Carry a lighter too, if you don't won't to wait 30 minutes to get a good bond, particularly in cool weather. My new Topeak Joe Blow Mountain floor pump makes quick work of inflating a motorcycle tire. Can't carry on bike, but great in garage. Got mine online for $32. I carry a frame mount bicycle hand pump on the bike but would like to get a cheap cigarette lighter plug in type one. I have the lighter plug on the bike already for the GPS.

    Catch you fellas later.
