I've travelled on a LOT of ferries around the world, and have to say, this is the most archaic manner of tying down bikes...
Stories of people going downstairs at their destination, to find theirs and others bikes have been ricocheting around the deck are not unusual. Check it good before you leave it.

On the way to the Island, one of the guys rang his niece, a Aussie teaching school in the UK, and suggested she come along as a 'Brolly Dolly'. So she did. Never having had anything to do with motorcycles, she was immediately drafted into a sidecar team for the 2 day trial event.....
I arrived just in time to catch the end of the presentation ceremonies.

2nd in the 2 day trial, not bad! :rofl

Unfortunately I missed the Jurby Airfield event. That won't happen again!

First day (for me and a couple of others), was a wash out, so we were loaded into the back of the van, and taken for a detailed tour of the circuit. And the pubs along the way. Oh yeah, it got messy...:freaky:huh:lol3

Step outside that door during the TT, and you'll have race bikes[IMG] passing within a few meters at speeds nudging 300Ks.

Kind of appropriate, considering our rider was running a 500/4. Beer wasn't bad either.

Time to look at some bikes. Just about everything you have, and haven't seen at the Manx. The most pleasing thing being that they're not all show ponies, but real, ridden machines.

I recognise that bike. I was pitboarding for a friend at the Gooseneck, spotted your GS, the ADV stickies and the plate that was from the wrong side of the planet! Thought I'd get some pics on my phone for when this thread pops up. (Took your time?) :lol3
