That is what I was looking at and thought it had to be wrong. I am sure I will get the skinny at the expo, should be a good time.

Only a badass like you could do that. Us mere mortals and solo riders need a little more time. :)

Last 4 times it's finished in La Paz....
    Average race miles = 1035
Average hours allowed to finish = 42
Call it 25 mph minimum to finish

For sure like SBad said the speed limited asphalt sections really screw up the OA speed average now days

    My schedule is as follows....

    Leave Vancouver on October 17th
Do a milk run through norcal and socal for 7 days to pick up various parts/gear
Cross to mexico on October 24th and setup base at Kikis in San Felipe
Preride the northern part for a week
Drive to Loreto and preride mid section for a few days
Drive down to La Paz, preride the south part for a few days
Drive back to San Felipe and then Ensenada

I'll be preriding both my 990 and my Ktm 540.... though my 540 looks like this right now so I'm in a rush to get it together.

If you see this wandering around mexico/cali....pull me over and ask for a beer...I'll have some..

I'm up for hooking up and riding with others as I'll be there solo for the preriding.

I'm just about to fax in my registration today and I just wanted to ask what category should one race ironman in? Do I just enter class 22 or what? Is there some specific class that all the ironmen enter?

There is no "Ironman" in SCORE, so you can enter Sportsman over, cl22, or whatever pro vet class you qualify for cl30, cl40, ect.

Rally bike at the 1000. That would make no sense. A trick 450x is there every year.

That trick JCR 450x that some guys get to ride ???

This Rally bike could and would do VERY good at this years 1000 with the right team riding it.
I cant think of a better full out test.Hard running Flat out for 1100 miles
May be the JCR Bteam will be testing the motor out in the 1000????
This years race will be a FAST race.
I still say the leaders will leave EL Arco in day light !!
