Greetings friends.

I"m now working in Pensacola ( ) and am feeling out the idea of renting an inexpensive studio/efficiency/garage apartment for my work week so I can keep from putting so many miles on my car (170 miles round trip X 5 days each week). Plus it will cut three hours of commuting each day.

90% of the time it will just be me. Some weekends my wife and daughter might come down. Sometime after the first of the year, I'll be parking a marked LEO car in the driveway at the end of each work day.

I don't need fancy or large. I need something safe, private, clean and since I ride a DR, something cheap.

I don't want to take up space here, so if you have a suggestion, shoot me a PM.

That was fun last year. This year I plan on hanging around and actually eating at the buffet... I know there will be a line.

SingleTrackJeff helped me IMMENSELY by providing test rider, financial, bike pickup, transporting, and storage services for the 2008 WR250R you may have seen in the Pensacola Craigslist.

Having Jeff to check out the bike and pick it up for me made it easier to decide to buy the bike sight unseen, from a seller I didn't know if I could trust. I'm still taking a risk that the seller will forward me the title, but I'm confident all will be OK.

The point is, Jeff, you're a gem! THANK YOU! I'll see you in a couple weeks when I can drive up from St. Pete with my trailer.

Actually this is NOT new news. Jeff, in spite of his denial, is indeed a gentlemen and scholar.... and he know how to ride a motorycycle.

He told be the story of when he checked out said WR... I can just see these youngsters (early 20s) thinking... does this old man really know how to ride a motorcycle?

I think he resisted the urge to show em how a wheelie looked but he did show a little controlled breakskidding....

May be some good stuff at a great price at this swap meet.

The weatehr is just too good not to ride somewhere, but tomorrow Im just too busy but I will sling a leg over the Strom sometime tomorrow....

I have been told I have plans for Sunday but they may fall through!

At some point during the process of taking a sand nap and having a 400EXC driven up my ass, I discoved that my Ram Mount had a factory defect. Well, thanks to Ram Mounts lifetime warranty, a free replacement is on the way. So, I got that going for me.

Hate to miss this, especially if there's TAT discussion, but I need to catch up on some things around the house.

Talked to Melvin about running the TAT next spring at the BMW Pensacola swap meet (picked up some killer deals on a Bomber jacket and jet boil thing) and this is gonna be fun.
Good chance we can time our end run in Arkansas to intercept Diann with the big trailer. Overflow riders could rent a car to gang-up for the ride home.
Would be nice,,,,but not a big deal if the trailer thing can't happen.
Our butts would probably be happier.
