I stayed in Governour a few times, but found camping to be the best bet. The twenty mile commute to the hotel really sucked.

ANyway, I love this event, and if I cant enter at teh last mintue, I'll try to volunteer. If I cant do that, I'll watch from here :D

Hope to see you there, and hope you race because you are the guy I have been comparing my times to in previous rallies to see if I am improving :deal

If anybody needs a free place to camp you can find my info in the tent space thread. Colton NY, about 45miles from Harrisville. Quite a ways away but won't cost a dime. Not sure if I will make it to the rally or not.

For the record the tree did not catch up to me an pass me, it just jumped out into the road in front of me!

So I WAS faster than the tree. I believe I taught it a lesson too, still finding bits of bark embedded into the bike.

My bike is fully rebuilt! I put on a different sprocket set for "trail gearing" and took it trail riding last weekend. Just need to swap those out for my "rally gears" and I am good to go.

I'm in pretty good shape. Just need to get the fresh rubber on which I'll do right before the race and clean up some wiring for the lighting.

Got rid of my accordion boots in favor of some KTM fork guards and seal savers:

Oh, believe it. And that's just one of the hospitals. I was actually in 2 hospitals before that, one in West Virginia and one in Harrisonburg. The bills keeps rolling in, they're up over 75k already, and I haven't gotten them all yet. Thank goodness for good insurance. I'm very fortunate to have excellent health benefits. I can only imagine what people do without them.

I'm actually on my way back to Charlottesville today to see my surgeon. Still in a bunch of pain, and the arm is still useless. Hopefully he releases me to pick up the pace with the PT today. He's still very cautious, 'cause they don't know if the bone lived or not yet. Maybe we'll know more today?

Just noticed one of my freshly rebuilt fork legs is leaking. Ugh. Replaced everything and they are silky smooth. Guess I'll do it again before next weekend.

Well that is annoying. Looks like the nearest campground is in Lowville. I might see about camping there Friday night and just be a renegade Saturday and Sunday.

I'm in! (my confidence in ktm, or lack of, has forced a later than usual entry)

Campground is closed?! Anyone know some other options?

    Cheers,
