Yeah, Barb, send them south to Homer. Free camping at Fullpower, either at my shop, or homestead..... and of course they will have to transit the " Furthest Westerly Point " on the North American road system, Anchor Point Beach access road, ya just gotta swing through there on your way to Deadhorse, or the trip to 70 degrees North Latitude is wasted. ( almost ) In anycase, New Zealanders are welcomed to Homer for a cleansing dose of wierdness before turning loose on the rest of North America
11 Days and 21 hours while posting this , we get our tickets printed Monday Barb so I will emal them through on PDF We will definitely come you way for sure as we want to have a pretty good look at Alaska, as best we can before defecting to D2D and beyond.
I'm going to offer them a GRAND tour of Homer and Anchor Point. A master bedroom with a jacuzzi, if they would like. Barb, will check your driveway and all over the next couple of days.
I went to the Alaska Cycle Center store at lunch and saw a couple of DRs marked "sold, to Barb." Are these your two bikes? If so, I really really like the charcoal gray color. Sweet! I feel special because I got to see your bikes in person, before you did. Maybe I'll go back and sit on them, to bring you lots of good luck on your long journey. Although with the bike model you chose, I know you'll have no performance problems at all. I would offer to bring them a couple of soft blankets and read them an afternoon nap-time story so they don't get lonely waiting for you to arrive, but folks in the store might think I'm a little strange. Enjoy all the excitement of counting down the days until you get here! If you have extra DR parts after you fix yours up with new stuff, let me know.
I am guessing they are, we only have web pictures of the Gray (which aint that good) so it is nice to hear that it looks ok. Goovey groovey, go back and whisper to them that we are not far away, have a sit.... fill ya boots ... just don't fart on it before I do ... gezz we don't wonna make them soft... they gonna get tormented pretty quick I think but hey I think the same way, love them to bits ... mine sits on carpet and Scrat looks after her (Suzy), I feel bad she is missing a bashplate etc which we are bringing over ..... they might think I am weird too .. don't want them to find out too early Packing packing packing ... all good nearly there and big clean up this weekend vacuuming :huh gardening :eek1 cleaning so just finishing stuff eh. We will have quite a few parts left over which we will need to sell/swap/bribe/trade etc 2 x Tanks 2 x Seats 1 x Rear shock w.out spring 2 x Passenger peg sets 2 x number plate towbar 40 mm out of the side stand 2 x grab rail sets 2 x factory tail lights 2 x set factory hand guards off the top of my head which is off level at the mo
