Changed my broken levers and noticed I broke hot start too.put on bark busters too not real happy with fit on bars.changed my back tire mfed it but got it done.put plate on.shimmed up gas tank slightly found was touching oversized tank and may have melted hole through. That wouldn't be fun.shimmed exzaust slightly too old rear tire brushed it.not sure if new one would have.just need to load it but needed a brake.

Sounds like you are dangerously close to the redbeard maintenance schedule.....

Why fix it in the garage when you can fix it on the trail?

Is that a super motard thing?

What are you running on your 990 for tires.

I have the dunlop 908 on the rear with a michelin starcross hp4 which was a blue groove tire they discontinued but work good on pavement and dirt... motorace was selling them for 40 bucks shipped last year so I bought 2... There not dot so I won't do 110 with them...

It just makes your tire choices limited if you ask me.

There's really only one, Bridgestone Ultra Heavy-Duty Tire Tube. It's like a tire, inside your tire.

I just put them in my bike after getting two flats during the same ride at the same time. Had to ride out of the tight nasty singletrack on two flats. I suspect they'll be better than heavy duty tubes. They are as thick as a Kodiac rubber boat! :clap

Why fix her up in your nice clean garage when you have a ton of time. It's much better to fix the bike parts in the enviroment it will be running in. The bearings and parts need a little grit to retain their molecular structure! :lol3

Hey Red, Is it worth bringing a bike to the Cape during the summer vacation at Nickerson?

So we went for a ride today and about 20 squids on quads in sneakers and no helmets showed up at our area. We took off before someone died and headed to some other trails and got finger waged by some old lady walking her dog. I tried to be nice and asked if she could please share the trail. The phone came out as she yelled at us and we took off for some other trails. As we crossed the end of a dead end some dick head on a Mt bike started in on us and at this point I wasn't in the mood so I cracked the throttle and that was the end of that. Note, this happen on trails we ride all the time for years now and never before have we had any trouble until today. So after today we are thinking next weekend we will make the trip down to patchoug and we'll need the grand tour. A buddy has a CR 250 with a quite pipe, but no plate. Will he be able to come or not a good idea?

I wouldn't ride the loop without a plate. Can you get away with it? Sure anything is possible but is it worth the risk of the fine and losing your bike?

Yeah, and thanks to you I got home!

The po-po was at the NETRA lot last weekend. If you finished the loop and pulled in to find him sitting there you woulda been screwed. Thomaston dam would be a good place to bring him w/ no tags but he still need an ATV plate!
