'Wolfenfighter' is the name of my next project bike

Starting with a R80G/S Frame which arrives here in Sydney on Sunday.
A mate is picking it up from Melbourne along with some other parts.
Get frame straightened then Suitable Bracing.
Making my own swingarm, 100mm longer. Single WP shock
Rear Disc brake setup. My own design too.
Running a mild 980cc Airhead boxer
KTM LC4 Front end complete including bars and controls
KTM Rallye Headlights and fairing
43 ltr Acerbis Tank
KTM Seat unit (Maybe Rallye rear tanks - 15 litre)

And what ever else I can think of . . . . .

sound fun,, maybe you can borrow some ideas of my
"Crashable headlight mount" I made for golem many years ago.

The basic premise of this concept is that a motorcycle will crash sooner or later and trying to avoid it is basically Futile, so may as well enbrace it and prepare for the wrost

this is all made with a dreemel a drill and a hacksaw so don't spect much finish quality anywere

The basic players are a Conecting rod from a Ford V-8...Very Madmax or what..
and a Bicycle stem that can be change very easy depending on the type of headlight i'm running (somehow a modular design)


the idea is for the whole arrangement to rotate and defuse the force of the impact into rotational movement as oppose to break parts or at least bend them

here you can see how the connecting rod attache to the "Fake" steer tube I made, the hole on the big tube is soppose to house a 36M bicycle headset so I can mount a fender that will move with the forks, even if the bike does not have a lower triple clamp to mount the fender on..
I never mount it since I ed up making the small aluminum cross braze to increase the stiffness of the whole thing


I even cross up the hydrolic lines so they will not fail no matter what.


the headlight Pivots on the lower of the main two silver tubes, the upper tube operates the assimut adjuster via a EXentric wheel that can be adjusted by hand really easy with out any tools


I crash the Shit out of poor Golem at least 126 times in her short life of 22 month


Until this day when I overheat the engine do to the incredible amount of Mud house on the cilinder heads and the engine dye that very same day


since I keep leaning the poor thing on her side when I was helping other people get across the mud.


and after all that the headlight never bend or brokeand i only need a 6mm allen to fix it and sometimes not even tool since a left the bolts a little losee

here is one last proof, even after a nasty crash only some of the plastic broke off, since the whole light bend and defuse the impact the way it was soppose too..

I'm trying to build something along this lines as my next project, the only problem I see now it's the rear end - I have no way to make it + 100mm, not the shaft nor the swing arm.

is that something that you do?

I could do it but I am building up a conventional style swingarm with a monoshock. I dont know when I could get it done.

With the exchange rate mightnt be too expensive. Makes the bike really.

No NO nO....

The headlight came from a Honda 1100XX Blackbird and i use to run two HID Lights made by CATZ (Plus two more AUXiliary lights) can you say "HeaTguN" that can melt the paint of the cars in front of you.

The rest of the windscreen is made of a inner shield of a F650 and the sides are cut from a stock R1100GS attache with my favorite bolts bicycle chainring bolts.

Here is a pic of Lauries bike. Not the best, but the best I have.

Another G/S from Toowoomba is on the way down to Paul Rooney's for a mod job, KTM 640 front forks, extended swingarm and strengthened frame. I will post some pics of it when I can.
