As we know, the rules say that unless there is separation, there is no fall. Or, in other words, if you choose to place
the bike horizontally for some reason, it is obviously not a fall. If you, on the other hand, is physically separated from the
bike because you, well, fall off, then we have a proper fall.
I am happy to tell you the picture shows.....a fall.

It takes some effort to get it back on the "feet" from a position where the bottom of the pannier is the
highest point on the bike.

Another question is this: If you have a severely leaking fork seal, and you "place" the bike in a position so that the seal no longer is above,
but rather below, the oil, then how much oil will leak out?
The answer is: Quite a lot.

As I carefully explained to Capa Superiore della Famiglia, I would never have fallen unless I had been lured
by bad company into trying to pass over a mountain on a "road" the hotel warned us was not rideable.

The picture shows where we understood we would not make it over the pass.

There are many, many, tourist traps on Corsica. If you are not careful you can easily end up having
to fork out 70 euro per person for a dinner.

When I had to give up, my only comfort was that the two 12GS's has already understood
that the game was over. So, at least, I got further up than them :evil

But, then again, I dropped the bike on the way down while they didn't :lol3

True! This guy can put his bike on the centerstand and still place both feet fully flat on the ground!! Mmmm, anyway... I'd realy wanted having seen the ones extending that "end of trail point" with a loaded 1150 or 1200GS and a pair of Metzler-Tourance' fitted ...:evil

Sorry, my pics still not available. I have some technical and "organisational" issues here...

And this picture sais: It's not necessarily a sad thing if you fall off your bike (and there most definitely WAS separation):

I don't know how the Swiss view themselves, but I believe that for the rest of us, words like "precise", "on time", "rules"
and others like them prevail.
How nice is it not, then, to see that also the Swiss know that the proper way to deal with No Entry and No Parking signs
is simply to park on the side walk :lol3

That BMW Cruiser is one cool looking bike!

Now, before we are getting too deep into any details which later on might be utilized to sue one or more participants (one of them will be sent to jail maybe anyway as he was forced to outsmart Italian highway toll-station), let’s change subject now:

Still BEFORE “Corsica for Friends” ADVrider-Thread really is much further than day one, and also still BEFORE “Corsica for Friends” book’s first edition is in print, I’m having the great honour to proudly present exclusively to the honourable ADVrider community …. “Corsica for Friends – The Movie”! Enjoye and...

I am used to "a salad" to be some salad. That green stuff. Possibly with a slice or two of tomato.

On Corsica, "a salad" is a meal.

I am a slow learner; also the next evening I ordered "salad" after the main course.
From this we conclude that "salad', in general, means a meal.
