Off this Saturday morning in the doom and gloom of coast fog / marine layer clouds

101 north bound from Ventura to Refugio Road

Green rolling hills filled with Happy Tasty Beef, Avocados and Oranges

Then we climb, up and up till I spot a glimmer of relief from the gray sop of the coast





Like riding in Heaven :eek1







Riding on, it gets good and sunny with puffy white clouds below..nice and dry this time as well

the Chumash Valley is good and clouded in too, but I can see the mountain tops across the way

one of three major antennae locations along the way


flowers are bloomin nicely now

Down off San Marcos Pass and into the valley...destination Figueroa Mountain..





Got me some un-explored roads up here Now that the weather has improved the gates are opening up

Next time you do that loop. Cruise out by Lake Cachuma and Foxen Cyn road!

Hey Bob, Hard to tell from the SPOT points, but I did hit Foxen Canyon coming off of Tepusquet Road..but then jammed down the 101 to get home before Mamma went to work Some really beautiful riding out there

Up and at em good and early this Sunday

Had a good long loop planned..33 to 166 to Sierra Madre via Bates Canyon to 166 to Foxen Canyon and Home..right around 200ish miles

33 was beautiful as always, but especially so now that the flowers are in full bloom along the sides of the sweeping twisting roads





Perfect temps, beautiful sights, great roads..who could ask for more

The scent of flowers was strong all the way up the mountain, adding to the experience even more

Down into Ventucopa

Bug are in season for a bit...I was covered the end of the day...come to find out the little terrors bite, especially discomforting when they fly down inside your shirt and begin to feast while your cruising along! Makes for one of tose quick stops where you are tearing gear off as quick as possible in order to address an issue

Just opened not too long ago after the winter released it's grasp..it's a real treat of a road, only been on it twice before and it was going the other way on the Wee Strom Looking forward to hammering the F8 up it :eek1
