Funny how people can have totally different views on things. That luggage looks like a totally under-designed POS to me.
Yea.. at least for the market over here.. CCM, just be in the bike business and let the luggage be someone else's problem...... "wolf.. man.." The've already got that market figure out good!!
That 1500 quid should be good news to the TE449 riders as well... That'd make me feel much better about purchasing a discontinued bike.
Well, I got to have a couple of rides on the 450 yesterday, off-road only, and I was surprised. I am no off-road king but, back-to-back with my WR250R, the 450 did really well. Its still a pre-production bike and the map is a little rough around the low-end but it went well. The more road-focused rake means its a little vague up front compared to the WR but it does carries its weight really well and the ergos (once I had the enduro seat on) were really good. thanks Scutty how did you find the "higher" seat was the Peg to seat hight ok(i dont know how tall you are) and the length to the bars
Hi The seat to peg was WAY better with the higher seat - I couldn't live with the standard seat but I am 6'3" and 33" inseam! The CCM team seemed very interested in every comment I made and we discussed seat options among many other things.
According to Canada motoguide.com Motorsports Canada is bringing the CCM 450 to Canada in the first quarter of 2014 for $12,000 msrp
been teased enough in the last ten months ?? anyway heres a teaser video not sure when the proper version will come out ,,probably just before the bike show in November ?? its very brief but gives a taster of what the bike is about ..we now know it goes down steps and does water crossings https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=gSxgh01S3w8&noredirect=1
That is actually a pretty good price. After outfitting my KTM530EXC for touring i have $11,995 into the bike and that does not include shipping for most items. Probably add on another $300 for shipping charges. Although I do have an arguably better engine, transmission, and suspension but I also have many hours of labor into it too. And...you can usually get the bike for less than MSRP! I must admit the CCM looks nicer though!
I just read that the maintenance interval is 5000 miles!, I'm sold! just please bring it to the U.S.!!!
So I would only have to service once or twice on one of my regular rides. (Not really fair as I suspect I would be going lower 'n slower on any ride for which this bike is designed. Glad to see a 5000 mile interval advertised.)
Any idea when this bike will actually be on the mkt? Just visited their site but could find no prices. Hope it does not suffer from the English disease. PS with that massive vertical seat dip, it really does look like the bike was not designed for people of normal stature.
