Similar "face" to the K16GT and what looks like the adaptive headlight. The subframe is clearly a bolt on affair now, sharing that architecture with the GS.

I've seen other photos from the 3/4 rear view and the seating accomodations look exactly like the current RT. The bags look like the GT/GTL bags. From what I can see on those photos, the dashboard looks like a cross between the current RT and the K-GT/GTL.

In the past, the RT has typically made about 10% more HP than the GS, so I'd expect this bike to be rolling with a quoted 135 - 140hp, which would be pretty terrific. When you do a bit of hp/weight ratio calculations, this should alleviate any concerns about the RT being outgunned by the Concours, FJR or Triumph. At this point, with the aging ST Honda's only player in this market (sorry, but the VFR12 is a GT bike, not a bike capable of hauling two people plus gear for two weeks), Honda's not really even in consideration.

I like it. I suspect that the side panels, even though they're covered by the swirly paint, are not the production panels. One thing to note: there appears to be an exhaust vent for the radiators directly above the cylinders.

I'll be the first to admit that I've made my fair share of negative posts in h-d threads.

Props to Motorrad for bringing this new boxer to the masses. I can't wait to try one. Not sure that it will get me off of my MTS1200, but it might. I am getting a little old for an upright superbike.

Not hating. Speaking from experience. 10 BMW's over 9 years. 5 were oil heads, 4 were RT's. The rest were F, Airheads, and two K bikes.

Can't help myself. I wanna know what this one's going to look like. My guess is that the tab will be well north of $20K.

I demoed the wet head GS last weekend the new RT will be faster and smoother than the current model. I really liked the GS

Oh, I'm still around...

I still love riding a BMW. That never changed. I just got to the point that I hated owning one. I hope the latest iteration delivers quality on par with expected performance.

In other news...the new RT just isn't doing it for me at all. The fairings are just getting H.U.G.E. I know it's all about wind protection etc. but come on, there is such a thing as too big.

My money is on a K16RS.

If they were jap sport tourers i`d say no , what you see is what you get. Guess they solved the wet clutch problem & all they have left is final drives & non lasting drive shafts to worry about. (maybe by 2020) :eek1

As cool as this would be the jugs on the side pretty clearly mark this as an R1200something.
