Wouldn't you just love to find something like this? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...rbike-locked-away-1930-expected-sell-75k.html
"Despite its run-down condition, it is being tipped to sell for at least £75,000." Run down condition? It's perfect and hopefully will stay in the same condition, just fixed up enough to run and ride, and not be restored.
There is no rust on that bike:eek1 it has history, if anybody lays paint on that, they need shooting Some call it restoration, the wise call it vandalism
That's pretty good, how long was it sitting for? :eek1 Fix what needs fixing - then ride it Cheers Baza
It's perfect, clean up a bit, getting running proper and enjoy! Could be ready for the next Cannonball Run.
I remember reading that TE Lawrence's bike was lost in the depths of time but he was known to put a florin ( old English coin worth 2 shillings) under the fuel cap. Apparently every Brough SAuperior that's offered for sale has a florin under the cap to convince the buyer it was the original Lawrence bike :)
