?

The Tigers leave Melbourne on the 8th of Nov will they make it all the way round

  1. Yes they will blitz it in and look good doing it

  2. The tigers will make it but only just (assuming they can find enough lattes)

  3. Nah they wont make the border

  4. They aren't a "insert favorite bike" here so there is no way they can make it

  5. Who cares just show me photos of the carnage

Yep it would be hard work, was hard just watching them push them out the gate. The test is just around the corner...... THE DUNES OF DEATH!!!! This is gonna be tough. I hope they stop at the corner and tackle them early in the morning. Was gonna fly some fuel out to them but its just far to dngerous in this wind.

just got home after an awesome red eye flight back from darwin and have to say
    the bikes did great
    we got them late
in the day from the freight depot after they were shipped back fresh from finishing their second apc rally
lentil might have a pic of them in the crates
took off on dark and pulled up in the dingoes shed for the night in dalby
next day we made it birdsville, i think about 1400 ks? and had a bit of a late start the next morning fitting fresh tyres
it was bloody hot with a westerly driving a sand storm and we were only going to head out to big red then return and loop around via the plenty as we thought it was too risky on big bikes in the heat
    but
they handled the sand so good, we did another dune, and then another and blow me down if we werent out past poeppels by dark
we ran mitchy deserts on the front and i reckon they did a great job of keeping the bikes on track
did the dunes of death as crusty calls them , the next morn from poepells to knolls the next morn while it was cool and they surprised us again how well they went, considering how loose the sand was and made mnt dare that night for a big one
awesome steaks and awesome people at mnt dare
did the finke track the next morning and met up with podge and jav in alice and they guided us thru the territory up to darwin over the next couple of days
saw some awesome country and met some awesome people and travelled at some awesome speeds chasing jav on the big 990 and podge on his tiger
the locals think its great fun to turn the signposts around and send us tourists off in the wrong direction and we had a bit of a navigational error ending up in elkedra stattion but they were top folk and gave us some lunch and showed us around their property, even invited us to stay another night!
lorella springs was another highlight and in the end we ran out of time and slabbed it into darwin last night
loving the tiger and tugboat was sad to say goodbye to his as well
the new safaritank turns em into a real long distance weapon
not sure how many ks we did but think it was 5 or 6 thousand
thanks podge and jav for some awesome northern territory hospitality!
will try to download some vid later on
