Saturday the day before:

Tend to family / house matters arrive back home around 4pm proceed to garage and resume reapir to double cardan joint on front driveshaft of pick up truck.

Complete repair and go out side to install it and discover its been raining out. Crap! proceed to crawl around under truck in wet driveway and install driveshaft.

Take truck for test ride to gas station, Got gas for the bike this time. Observe large wet snowflakes come down on way home. Sigh and mentally prepare myself for another studless snow run that wasn't supposed to have any snow

I'm 8 miles from the start and no snow here still!

Post up a time and place for breakfast and I will try and make it

2316 hrs truck loaded.
Discovered its below freezing even though my computer says its 34.
Did you know when you step from inside your garage into the back of a frozen (it was raining earlier) pick up bed the residual heat in your boot will cause you to stick to the ice just long enough to throw you off balance before it reverts to its normal slippery surface?
Having your truck facing down hill on your rather steep driveway will only increase the entertainment value to anyone who is lucky enough to be watching you as you do this.
