I'll be at Happy Hollow as well, since I just found out the other place is closed. Does anyone know the name of the camp ground that service used to be at?

It is unfortunate about the campground. They told me it was just for renovations, and next year it should be open at this time.

    Ah well.

On a brighter note, Saturday's forecast is calling for biblical, frog-strangling rains. :freaky

    Frog strangling?

Anything like that epic night of the, what 2nd and 3rd bits of prophecy? The floods and plague of frogs?

I want to hear about the shortcut Tom took on 14 and 15. To shave 6 minutes off the competition. And how bout those mechanical fixes after day one?

Just look at his stage times compared to the rest of the field. Look at the results with stage scores page. It looks like, by my abacus, it doesn't matter, Tom would have won anyway. He might not have beaten every car but one though :D

Those times aren't corrected online yet. Those two stage times were obviously a clerical error for Tom (who nevertheless ran another great race, and nearly won).

However, he was bested by Devon (blueillusion10), a paramedic from Ontario here, who ripped through the stages on his new 530exc, and took the 1st overall by about a minute over Tom.

Major congrats to Devon - I think he is probably the first Canadian ever to win the overall at a Rallymoto!

I'm sure more details will come out shortly. We're all still trying to dry off from Saturday.

Yeah timing was buggered this event. I think they had a big shortage on volunteers and a lot of them were inexperienced. Either way, great racing, especially day 2. Day one was just a matter of survival. No crashes which was great. Some of your typical euro-bike mechanical failures so the field got a bit smaller unfortunately.

I have a feeling the DRZ might return next year with some better suspension and a little more sack.

If anyone finds any pics throw the links up here. I think they'll be limited due to the weather.
