    It is above Sierra City on Hwy 49. Google it and you can find maps. I think there is a Sierra Butte Rd out of Sierra City that goes up.

    SIerra Buttes Rd. is dirt and super fun.

    I just got back from there over Labor Day. We've been going there since I was 8.

    Packer Lake Rd is the paved way up to the trailhead. CG's should be open until late October. My favorite is DIablo...kind of dusty but most sites have creek access year round.

    I through my hat in as a potential volunteer to do some hurricane relief in the Gulf. My church is getting a team together to do some reconstruction post Isaac. I have not heard back from them yet. If I'm not in Mississippi, I'd like to attend.
