150cc's of fun. This has replaced the cage for the work commute except for the foul weather days.

Hey y'all, just wanted to drop in and show off my new '08 Silver Wing. It is bone stock but moving from my Yager, it is a beast. I think my first upgrades will be the front spring upgrade and a Givi backrest for the missus. I'm also going to look into getting the local custom shop to fab up floorboards for her too.

Here is my modified TMAX sidecar. Model was the last of the steel frame bikes from 08 I think. I built and rebuilt the sidecar several times in the last two years. Details of final build are here:

    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=678272

Modifications include leading link forks, rear subframe lowered and moved forward 50mm to give a lowered look, fuel tank repositioned to sidecar with reverse under the seat (still being done). All controls are in the sidecar.

Outfit goes great, still plenty of power despite the extra weight. Currently daily work hack but hope to sight see SE Queensland now I have enough speed for the freeways.

Is that the fuel tank at the front of the side car?

Also, it would be awesome to see the a shot from the back to see the rider/passenger area of it.

That's an amazing mod, my hat is off to ya.

    Cool ride mate!
How is the leading link going? Probably didn't try it with the sidecar on normal forks, just wondering aloud how the front reacts compared to the standard forks? How much heavier is the new front end?
    Nice cage work too.:clap

yes, fuel tanks in the nose. I had it off, and the subframe, when i tried to turn the TMAX into a trike. Instead of putting it back std i lowered the seat and relocated the tank.

No, never tried the LL on the bike. The new front end reduces the trail by app. 50% to about 40mm so as a bike it might be abit twitchy.

This is how I set my Kymco People 250 up for long trips. I cary all my camping gear and a Kermit chair! A group of us from Ohio do a 30 day scooter trip every year and average 4,500 to 6,000 miles. The People 250 now has 35,000 miles on the clock with no breakdowns!! Those Kymco people know how to build a scooter.

Thats cool! Sounds like an awesome trip. If you haven't already, definitely give us a ride report!

Wow, 35,000 trouble free miles? What year is your Kymco? I'm interested in hearing how long that thing will go, I'll bet if you keep taking care of it it'll go triple that or more!
